Why the drawings?
I have no skills at drawing. I could AI-generate a fitting image for each blog post, likely saving me a lot of time. They could be of any art style & be seemingly impressive. Instead, I'm committed to drawing my ideas, however rough or crude they may be.
Since copyright is only for works produced by a human, I get the pleasure of intentionally releasing the drawings under a creative commons licence.
I user a pencil, & I don't start over if I make a mistake, such as starting off too big or too small for the page, so many drawings have traces of rubbed-out lines. In a time where producing a final product in one go is so easy, it's appealing to me to show my work.
I've noticed that in some drawings you can see through the paper & see the darker lines of the drawing before.
None of these occur in AI-generated images. I could prompt for an image to show these kinds of oddities, but it wouldn't be the same. They wouldn't have occurred unintentionally, which is something I like about these drawings.
I might get better over time, with a pencil or in coming up with ideas my drawing skills can already manage.
Whether you like AI art or not, I hope that the novelty of what I make is refreshing.
